News from IT House September 15 The realme Band released in March last year ushered in its successor today. Realme has just released the Realme Band 2, which has a larger screen, a larger battery, and a different design.
Realme Band 2 looks more like a smart watch than a smart bracelet. It is equipped with a 1.4-inch 320x167 resolution color touch screen with a peak brightness of 500 nits. Supports more than 50 surfaces, and you can also choose to upload pictures from a connected smartphone to create a custom interface.
The standard health and fitness functions that were available on the original realme Band also appear on Band 2, including heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, automatic pedometer, water drinking reminder and sedentary reminder. The new features of Band 2 are the addition of stress measurement, female health tracking, and SpO2 sensor to measure blood oxygen levels.
Band 2 also supports 90 exercise modes, while the first-generation Band has 9 exercise modes. However, Band 2 only supports 14 sports at the initial release, including yoga, outdoor/indoor walking, outdoor/indoor running, cricket, basketball, pool swimming and football. Support for other sports will be added through OTA in the future.
Realme Band 2 is also equipped with smart AIoT control. Realme's smart watches already support this feature, allowing users to control the company's AIoT products from their wrists.
Other highlights of realme Band 2 include music control, camera control, weather forecast, alarm clock and 50-meter water resistance.
Realme Band 2 is equipped with a 204 mAh battery, which is said to provide 12 days of battery life. The smart bracelet supports Bluetooth 5.1 connection and uses Goodix's Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth LE) SoC.
Band 2 is suitable for devices running Android 5.1+/iOS 11+ and can be managed by the realme Link application. This wearable device weighs 27.3 grams and has only one color of space gray, but there are multiple color strap options, one of which seems to be made of leather.
IT Home has learned that the realme Band 2 is priced at 169 Malaysian ringgits (approximately RMB 261) and will be sold in Malaysia through Lazada on September 20. However, there is currently no information about its listing in other markets.
